2015-2016: Rincon/University High School Chapter Secretary
During my first full year participating in JSA, I was fortunate enough to be elected to the position of secretary of the Rincon/University High School chapter. Through this position, I was able to experience a first-hand account of what it meant to be a leader in JSA. Being a chapter officer allowed me to participate in the beginnings of a strong chapter, and absolutely gave me the basis to learn what it really means to be a successful and organized group in JSA Arizona. Along with working with fundraising organizations like Market on the Move, planning debates, and learning more about our state's leadership along with my peers, I have had the pleasure of watching my chapter grow to ten times its size, leading to my true understanding of a strong and resilient chapter.

2016: JSA Arizona Deputy Convention Coordinator
Working with Spring Congress as JSAZ's Deputy Convention Coordinator, I learned exactly what it means to be a cabinet member. Because of this position, I was able to fully understand the importance of our cabinet, along with exactly how it works, its members, and the dedication it takes to be a part of our state's leadership. I learned exactly what goes into Spring Congress and other conventions as well as how important passion for my job was. As this was my first position in cabinet, I had just begun to learn how our state operated and could continue to succeed. Having the fortune to assist with just one convention completely solidified my dedication to JSAZ.
August 2016: Montezuma Leadership Summit Graduate
The Montezuma Leadership Summit was the perfect opportunity for me to learn all about how JSA operates on a national level as well as meet some of the most distinguished members of JSA in the nation. Through Montezuma, I learned how to maintain an effective chapter and cabinet, how to fundraise and reach out to my community, and how to unapologetically voice what I believe in. I experienced how JSA functions in other states and learned from the people who participated in the very beginnings of JSA itself. Montezuma was a priceless part of my JSA career and what I was able to experience still impacts how I lead today.
